HP Laserjet Pro M227 Series Review

HP Laserjet Pro M227 Series Review
May 10, 2017

For businesses the majority of printing is based on text printing, especially smaller font printing. In this area the Laser Printer has always been superior to Inkjet Printer because of the rapid fusing of the toner to the page. The ink takes just that little longer to dry.

However, the downside has been the higher energy consumption of the Laser Printer to heat the fuser wire. But constant Research and Development by HP has reduced the energy consumption with the introduction of Jetintelligence for their range of Laser Printers.

How did they do it? By reformulating the toner particle. By using a more durable coating around a softer core The Colorsphere 3, as HP call it, offers many benefits. It’s lower melt point which reduces energy consumption by as much as 53% and prints up to33% more pages. It also makes the new generation of HP Laser Printers as much as 40% less space than its predecessors.

Now let’s look at HP JetIntelligence in action.

The HP Laser Jet Pro M277 series in a part of the HP Jet intelligence range of laser printers.

Key demands for modern business are speed and adaptability. With a small footprint and a host of features and capabilities the HP LaserJrt Pro M277 series of multifunction colour laser printers meet these demands. They are an ideal fit for a home office or small business with a workgroup of up to five users.

Available in two versions; the HP LaserJet Pro 277n and 277dw, the differences are that the 277n is hardwired via an Ethernet cable whereas the 277dw offers a Wi-Fi server built in for even greater connectivity flexibility.

Apart from the Wi-Fi server the 277dw offers automatic duplex printing, mobile printing and NFC (Near Field Connection) to a mobile phone or portable device that has been paired with the printer. This will allow you to print from that paired device no matter where you are; elsewhere in the office or out in the field. In all other aspects the two models are identical so now we can talk of the features and benefits because they are applicable to both models.

Both offer high speed printing, copying, scanning and faxing as well as a large range of connectivity.

The Printing Function:

Time is of the essence and with a first page out time from sleep mode as little as 14 seconds and subsequent pages printed at the rate of up to 18 per minute the printer doesn’t waste any time. The output quality is extremely high with deep black and an optimised colour print output for professional results.

Direct input printing is controlled from the 7.6cms touchscreen with gesture and swipe activation or you can print from a terminal, USB Device or, with the MFP 277dw, any mobile device.
